Convertible Commuter Bag

Throughout this project, I conducted user research with my target audience of college students to identify pain points in daily commuting and carry.
From my findings I designed a modular bag system to streamline transitions between academic, work, and social contexts. After testing form ideations with potential users, I built a full-scale, production-intent prototype using final materials and construction techniques.

Sourced a second-hand bag for rapid three-dimensional iteration for form and strap configurations.
Then proceeded to mock up a sketch model with muslin.
